How an apron is built
An apron is a flat woven panel whose engineering sits in three places: straps and their anchors, pockets and their reinforcement, and fabric weight. Bib aprons hang from a neck strap, cross-back aprons move the load to the shoulders, and waist aprons tie at the waist only.
All four edges are double-folded and stitched, and every strap anchor and pocket corner is bartacked or box-stitched, since the neck strap is where weak aprons fail. Decoration goes on the flat body before straps and pockets, and cotton canvas is wash-tested because it shrinks.
