Voyager Textile is a teamwear manufacturer in Türkiye with sublimation printing, cutting, sewing and embroidery under one roof, producing under the label of the brand or distributor that sells the kit. Orders start at 300 pieces per colour and per style, including all-over sublimated designs, with sizes split inside that quantity, and a sample takes 5-7 business days.
Who we make teamwear for: brands, distributors and academies
In each case the garments carry your labels and packing, and the design is yours or the club's: every product is made to your specification, and there are no ready-made styles.
- Teamwear brands. Develop and approve the base pattern, then grade it to the agreed size chart. Adapt each club's sublimation artwork to the pattern pieces for each size, including seam allowances and placement checks.
- Distributors. Your own neck print and care label, and carton marking per club, follow your instruction; neutral shipping documents are confirmed per project at the quotation stage. Cartons and shipping marks lists what to specify.
- Academies. Specify suitable base patterns and size charts for junior and adult ranges. Approved strike-offs and artwork files are retained for repeat orders; compare the new print on the chosen fabric with the approved colour standard before production.
Football kits: sublimated jerseys and shorts
A sublimated football shirt is printed before it is cut: the artwork is built to the pattern pieces of every size, printed on transfer paper, transferred into white polyester under heat, then cut and sewn. The whole sequence, including registration across seams and the two approval points, is on the full-sublimation sports jersey manufacturing page.

| Fabric | Indicative weight | Used for |
|---|---|---|
| Micro-polyester jersey | Around 110 to 150 g/m² | Light match shirts, warm-weather kits |
| Polyester interlock | Around 145 to 200 g/m² | Match shirts with more body, detailed artwork |
| Bird-eye and honeycomb knits | Around 130 to 180 g/m² | Training shirts, ventilated body panels |
| Open mesh | Around 120 to 180 g/m² | Underarm and side panels, back yokes |
| Polyester with elastane | Around 170 to 240 g/m² | Close-fitting shirts and cycling jerseys |
| Brushed polyester | Around 200 to 280 g/m² | Cooler-weather training tops |
- Collar and neck. Crew neck with self-fabric binding, V-neck with an insert, rib collar, or a polo-style collar cut from the sublimated fabric so the design continues; each is a pattern decision taken before the artwork is engineered.
- Crest. Sublimated into the design, embroidered flat or as appliqué in our factory, or applied as a transfer. Choose the backing and stitch density for the actual fabric and design, and check a stitched sample for distortion and appearance.
- Names and numbers. Include names and numbers in the artwork if the roster is confirmed before printing, or apply them as heat transfers in our factory when the roster is confirmed later. Check the transfer on the chosen fabric. For readability and placement, see sports jersey artwork layout.
- Shorts. Polyester knit or light woven polyester with an attached elastic waistband with or without an inner drawcord, sublimated side panels or a plain body with a transfer number. Construction options are on the shorts manufacturer page.
- Goalkeeper kits. Long-sleeve shirts on the same sublimation route, usually in a separate colourway, so each keeper design is its own colour or style for the minimum.
The sublimation route also suits other team sports when the fabric has a suitable polyester print face. Specify fit and construction for the sport: basketball vests can have bound armholes and a longer body; volleyball and handball shirts may use stretch fabrics; cycling jerseys can include an elasticated hem or silicone gripper and a front zip. Confirm the actual fabric, pattern and print trial for each design.
Training wear: training tops, track jackets and warm-up layers
Coordinate training garments with the match kit's approved colour standard. Options include quarter-zip or half-zip tops with raglan sleeves, brushed polyester or interlock as specified, and full-zip track jackets with a standing collar or hood and rib or elastic cuffs. Define zip construction and check artwork alignment across the closure on a sample. Jackets can be ordered separately or with matching joggers. See tracksuit manufacturing page.
Pre-match and event tees are lighter sublimated shirts built on a simpler pattern, described on the sublimated performance T-shirt page. Hoodies, polos and softshell jackets for coaches and staff are made in the same factory; see the hoodie and polo pages.

Racing and Motorsport Team Wear (Not Driver Suits)
All four jerseys in the Voyager Textile catalogue are racing jerseys: a long-sleeve jersey in black and red, a short-sleeve jersey in grey and red, a women's short-sleeve jersey in grey and red and a women's long-sleeve jersey in teal and orange. They show the motorsport side of teamwear: team, crew and hospitality clothing sublimated in the team's livery, with sponsor logos engineered into the panels rather than applied on top.
Define each sponsor's position, dimensions and clear space on the chest, sleeves, collar and back for every size. Allow for seam allowances and check any logo crossing a seam on the sewn sample; cutting to the print alone does not ensure alignment. Specify the collar construction, including any short zip or polo collar, and confirm zip type and length at quotation. Keep sponsor elements separately editable, then assess and approve the revised artwork before reprinting when a sponsor changes.
A racing team programme can combine sublimated jerseys with windbreakers, hoodies, polos and softshell jackets in the same colours, each made to its own pattern; the softshell route is on the softshell jacket manufacturing page. Fan and merchandise versions of the team jersey follow the same process and the same minimum.
Tests, sizing and packing for club programmes
Specify test methods, acceptance limits and the laboratory or party commissioning the tests. For sublimated teamwear the usual set is ISO 105-E04 for colourfastness to perspiration, ISO 105-C06 for washing, ISO 12945-2 for pilling and ISO 13938-2 for bursting strength of the knit. A UPF claim on a shirt needs test data from an appropriate method, such as EN 13758-1 behind it, as UV protection and UPF explains, and colourfastness covers how the grades read. For clothing marketed under EN 13758-2, also assess the garment classification and marking requirements; fabric test data alone does not establish garment conformity.
Academy and junior kits carry an extra check: cords and drawstrings on children's clothing up to the age of 14 fall under EN 14682, whose requirements depend on the age and height group and on where the cord sits, from the hood and neck to the waist. The EN 14682 guide explains what that means for the drawcord in a pair of shorts or a training top. Patterns are graded in Gerber AccuMark to your chart, with suitable base patterns and grading rules for junior and adult ranges, and packing can be per player: individually bagged with the name or number marked on the bag, and cartons packed by club and team.
Junior and academy sizes: EN 14682 cords and children's safety rules
Assess children's cord designs by the applicable EN 14682 age and height group, garment area and destination-market requirements. Cord-free hoods and necklines are a design option for junior ranges. If a waist drawcord is proposed, specify its anchoring, permitted free ends and any adjusters, and check the complete design against the relevant requirements before approving the sample.
State the intended child age and height ranges, size chart and destination market in the brief. Agree the applicable safety requirements and checks before sample approval. Hood construction options are described in hood construction.
What changes the unit cost of sublimated teamwear
The unit cost of sublimated teamwear is set by the fabric structure and weight, the number of fabrics in one garment such as mesh side panels, and the construction of collar, sleeves and hem. Print cost depends on print area and ink coverage, artwork preparation for each size and style, and the fabric yield of the print layout. The number of colours alone does not determine the cost. Embroidered crests, applied names and numbers, per-player packing and the quantity per design complete it; the manufacturing cost guide explains the rest.
Producing in Turkey for European Brands
Türkiye sits on the road corridor into the EU, and under the EU–Türkiye Customs Union (Decision No 1/95 of the EC-Turkey Association Council) apparel in free circulation moves into the EU without customs duty when an A.TR movement certificate accompanies the shipment; import VAT still applies, and the A.TR shows customs status rather than origin, as explained in A.TR and origin. Plan the order around the required delivery date. Bulk production typically takes 4-5 weeks after approval; development, sampling and shipping are additional, and the project schedule is confirmed at quotation. Transport options are in shipping apparel from Turkey, and the wider case in nearshoring clothing production for European brands.
Questions this raises
What is the minimum for custom sublimated teamwear?
The minimum for custom sublimated teamwear is 300 pieces per colour and per style, the same as other garments. Sizes can be split inside the 300. For kits sold as sets, how the 300 applies is confirmed at the quotation stage.
How long does it take to make custom sublimated teamwear?
Custom sublimated teamwear takes 5-7 business days for a sample, and typically 4-5 weeks for bulk after sample approval. Artwork engineering, the printed strike-off and shipping are additional.
When should we order teamwear for the start of a season?
Order teamwear for the start of a season by working back from the date the kit must reach the club: shipping, typically 4-5 weeks of bulk after sample approval, a sample taking 5-7 business days, and artwork engineering with a printed strike-off. Start planning months ahead; see apparel production lead times.
Can you make teamwear to our own design and label?
Yes, we make teamwear to your own design and label. Every kit is made to your pattern and artwork; there are no ready-made styles. Neck prints, care labels, hang tags and packing are produced to your specification.
Do you make racing suits for drivers?
No, we do not make racing suits for drivers or any fire-retardant clothing. We make sublimated racing jerseys and team wear for crews and fans, which are ordinary sportswear, not protective equipment.
Can player names and numbers be added to sublimated jerseys?
Yes, player names and numbers can be sublimated into the design when the roster is known before printing, or heat-applied as transfers in our factory when squads are confirmed later.
Can a club reorder the same kit colours next season?
A club can reorder its kit using the retained approved strike-off, artwork files and pattern. Before bulk production, compare a new strike-off on the selected fabric with the approved colour standard. Fabric or supplier changes require a fresh colour assessment because the fabric affects the printed colour.
Have a kit range or club programme to produce?
Send the artwork or kit template, the fabric requirement and the size split. We engineer the design to the pattern, print a strike-off for approval and sample before bulk, from 300 pieces per colour and per style.
