How a training top is built
A training top is a polyester knit layer for warm-up and training, usually a quarter-zip or half-zip, sometimes a crew neck, and often sublimated in team colours. Unlike a track jacket it rarely opens fully, and unlike a match jersey it is cut to layer over a base layer.
Brushed polyester gives a soft inside face for cooler weather, while interlock suits lighter tops. The zip is set into a facing, with the artwork engineered to meet across the closure. Raglan sleeves are common because they leave the shoulder free to move.
