How a hoodie is built
A hoodie is a sweatshirt with a hood and, on pullover styles, a kangaroo pocket. The hood is built as its own sub-assembly, two-panel with a centre seam or three-panel with a gusset for a rounder shape, lined or single, then set into the neckline with the seam taped or faced.
The pouch is a patch pocket with two openings, bartacked at the corners where hands load it. Drawcords exit through metal eyelets or stitched buttonholes. The body uses the same French terry or brushed fleece as a crew-neck sweatshirt, with rib cuffs and waistband.
