Minimum order, capacity and lead times

The minimum order is 300 pieces per colour and per style, and it is the same for every product. A hoodie in two colours is two lots of 300; one colour in two styles is also two lots of 300. Sizes can be split inside each 300. All-over sublimation has no separate minimum, and a custom Pantone colour also starts at 300 pieces. For polyester-based fabrics colour is often produced by sublimation rather than dyeing, so those are assessed separately. The reasoning behind minimums is in the MOQ guide.

Monthly capacity is about 100,000 pieces, and the capacity available for a particular product is confirmed at quotation. A sample takes 5-7 business days, and bulk production takes 4-5 calendar weeks after the sample is approved. Sampling always comes before bulk. Development, sampling and shipping sit outside the 4-5 weeks; the lead times guide shows how they add up.

What is done in the factory and what is coordinated with partner facilities

Cutting, sewing, pattern making and most decoration are done in Voyager's own factory. Screen printing, garment washing and other specialist processes are coordinated with established partner facilities, and Voyager manages the project from start to finish in both cases.

Where each process runs

Raised or puff print is a screen-print method, not embroidery, which is why it sits with the partner processes while 3D puff embroidery sits in the factory. The difference between the decoration methods is explained in printing vs embroidery, and washes in garment washing and finishing.

What the customer supplies and what Voyager does

The customer supplies the design and the requirements; Voyager turns them into an approved sample and then into bulk production. A full tech pack is the normal starting point, but a brief with reference photographs, a sketch or a catalogue article code is enough to begin.

Division of work on a typical project

The customer supplies

  • The design: a tech pack, or a brief with references
  • Measurements or a target size range
  • Artwork files and placement for branding
  • Colour references, for example Pantone numbers
  • Label, hangtag and packing instructions
  • Quantities per colour, style and size, and the delivery market
  • Test, certified-material or inspection requirements, if any
  • Fabric, if the customer chooses to supply it

Voyager does

  • Reviews the specification and lists anything still missing
  • Develops patterns and makes the sample
  • Sources fabric, colour and trims against the specification
  • Cuts, sews and applies in-house decoration
  • Coordinates partner processes such as screen printing and washing
  • Checks goods in line and at final inspection against the approved sample
  • Packs to the agreed instructions and prepares export documents
  • Coordinates handover to the customer's forwarder

Buyer-supplied fabric is accepted, including fabric the buyer imports. What the fabric has to be checked for on arrival is covered in incoming fabric inspection. What a useful tech pack contains is in the tech pack guide.

The catalogue is a record of previous production, not stock

Every item is a manufacturing reference rather than a stocked product. Fabric, colour (including custom Pantone development), fit, trims, branding and packaging are all defined by your specification. Article codes such as VT-HO-001 are internal catalogue identifiers, not retail SKUs.

Repeat orders, factory visits and order updates

For repeat orders, approved samples, patterns, colour standards and packing instructions are retained, so a follow-up order is made from the same record as the first. How buyers keep reorders consistent is covered in reorder consistency.

Factory visits and buyer-side audits can be arranged as part of project onboarding. During production, customers are updated at set stages of production.

Certifications

OEKO-TEX, GOTS and GRS certified materials can be sourced where the buyer specifies them, subject to availability and to the scope of the supplier's certificate. The supplier's documents, and any transaction documentation the order needs, are reviewed for that order.
